For anyone who seldom or never been to Lutong area, do you know that there's a place at Old Lutong area where it is near Shell and Petronas office? This place is famous for one of the thing that they served: their porridge. What so special about it? Let me show you graphically and also explain to you in words the flavour of it.
Normally other places who served porridge are cooked under normal gas burning stove. This cafe however preparing it in different ways: using charcoal. Using charcoal allows the heat and its flavour goes along with the porridge. They have options on what you add in such as mixed pork and/or with egg. Every single scoop you had it enchanced with full charcoal flavour plus the seasoning of the porridge is just nice. Defintely worth a try but the only thing is you have to wait. Unlike gas stove, charcoal heat are not controllable in a way. So patience is the word to enjoy a wonderful bowl of porridge. I even had friend drove all the way from luak bay to Lutong just to had the porridge. Inmagine the temptation :D
As you all might know eating porridge might get you hungry sooner, have a plate of kolok mee. One of the cheapest kolok mee you can find in most places. Nothing quite special about the kolok mee apart from it is among the cheapest you can find. Or you can go for their fried bee hoon. I tried it personally and found it quite nice. I will try to do a review on this when i return.
